Solana Airdrop Checker: Real Ones Versus Wallet Drainers

Solana airdrop checker safety: how to reach the real claim page, what a legit checker asks for, and the signing requests that signal a wallet drainer.

A real Solana airdrop checker needs one thing from you: your public wallet address, usually supplied through a Connect button. Showing eligibility does not require your seed phrase or a signed transaction. A page that pushes you to approve something to “verify” your wallet is a drainer.

Reach the checker without trusting a link

Start from the project, not from a post. Type the project’s address yourself or use a bookmark you made earlier.

Jupiter’s checker is a good reference. On November 2, 2026, jup.ag/portfolio/airdrop-checker showed a heading, “Check Your Airdrop Eligibility”, one line about claim history and pending airdrops, and a single button: Connect my wallet.

Phantom’s scam guide says never to click links in paid Google results, social posts, replies or messages to reach an app or airdrop. Its reason is practical: a scam ad can display a project’s official URL and then redirect to a near-identical one.

Official accounts are not safe starting points either. Phantom notes that hackers sometimes take over the social accounts of brands you follow and post links to fake airdrops, and its guide says never to click airdrop or giveaway links in any social post.

That breaks the usual advice to “check the URL looks right”. On a paid ad, the URL you see is not the URL you land on.

Connecting is not signing

Connecting shares your public address. Signing authorizes an action from your wallet. A checker that only reads eligibility needs the first and has no use for the second.

Your seed phrase belongs to neither step. If the difference is fuzzy, our guide to seed phrase versus private key covers what each one opens.

Signing requests that signal a drainer

Solana’s own documentation explains why a single approval matters. Approving a delegate lets another address transfer or burn tokens from a token account on the owner’s behalf, and the owner signs that approval.

What one approval can do, and how to undo it

Per the same documentation, a token account stores one current delegate and one delegated amount. Approving a new delegate replaces the previous one, so only the latest approval is in force.

Revoking works in the other direction. It clears the delegate and resets the delegated amount to zero, after which the old delegate can no longer move or burn tokens from that account.

Phantom also describes Transaction Previews, which warn before you approve a malicious transaction. Treat any such warning as a stop sign.

Direct-message lures follow the same pattern, which we break down in the Telegram girls crypto scam piece.

Keep claims away from your savings

Our view: claim from a separate wallet holding a small balance. If a signature goes wrong, the loss stays small.

The split between everyday and long-term storage is laid out in hot wallet versus cold wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Does connecting my wallet to a checker put my funds at risk?

Connecting alone shares your public address. Phantom’s guide describes the loss as happening when you connect to a fake site and then approve a transaction, so the signature is the dangerous step.

How do I handle an airdrop token I never asked for?

Phantom says to assume any unsolicited token or NFT is a scam. Do not open its link. In Phantom, the ellipsis menu on the item offers “Report as Spam and Hide”.

What if I already signed something suspicious?

Solana’s documentation says a revoke clears a token account’s delegate and resets the delegated amount to zero. If you typed a seed phrase anywhere, treat that wallet as compromised and move your assets to a new one with a fresh phrase.
